Hip, Hip, Hurray! It is mom's birthday! This means that Ome Arno comes over and takes a few pictures with mom's camera. The result captures Lior through and through, with his cheeky side (middle right) and his focused side (far right).

As he enters his twentyfourth month on Planet Earth, our Sun Child also goes to Chimpie Champ, an indoor playground. Chimpie Champ is a regular stop for our young man. The occasion this time is a reunion of Esther-Mirjam's birthing class. He is joined by his youngest sister as well as Tim, Anne, and Mila (left).

Lior loves to play with his big sister, as you can see in the clip below. That is, he also gets into (small) fights with her occasionally. Sometimes, mom feels that 1 + 1 is more than 2!

Lior gets to go to Chimpie Champ again when Aafke comes over for the weekend. The indoor sledding hill is clearly his favorite, but not his mom's. This is because she has to carry the sled for him (row above, left), run down as he goes down (row above, middle), and make sure he gets out of the sled quickly (row above, right). Going down the slide with Aafke is also lots of fun (top left) and he also does not mind posing with her (bottom left). Together with his mom and youngest sister, Lior makes his way through a big play structure (top right). If you look carefully, you get the impression that mom secretly enjoys going to the indoor play ground, for she seems to have the most fun of all (bottom right).

Two more days and Lior will be two years old!

Lior celebrates his birthday at home with lots of family and friends coming over (right).

With a little help from two of his sisters, Lior manages to blow out the two candles that decorate his delicious birthday cake (left).

Lior is very luckly to receive many wonderful presents, keeping him almost too busy to spend time with his visitors (right).

Lior also gets to celebrate his birthday at the day care center, Heyendael, where he treats the children to yummy cookies and raisins. Thanks to Oma Naatje, they are wrapped in pretty easter baskets (row below).

The staff have put up a sign for Lior's birthday and put two "candles" on the "birthday cake" (right).

Heike, Colette and Cindy have also made a hat that is certainly not to our young man's liking. Lior prefers to celebrate his birthday without such a silly thing on his head (left).

The children get musical instruments to accompany themselves while singing birthday songs for our birthday boy. As far as Lior is concerned, this is the best part of the celebration (right).

Lior celebrates his birthday in Apeldoorn, where he gets to watch Bumba on the computer with Lenneke, Ruben, and Sanne (row above). He also has a special guest, Romano, the son of a friend of Sanne's (left). Papa knows just which presents Lior likes the best (right).
