Thirtyfirst Month of Lior Sent

As he enters his thirtyfirst month on Planet Earth, our Sun Child celebrates World Animal Day (October 4) with a visit to some horses (left)...
...and a few sheep (right). Our young man is very gentle with animals. If only he were this gentle with his sister Luna!
Poor Opa Ben! Lior and Luna seem to think that their grandfather is playground equipment (row below). To get them off his back, Opa built a play structure in Luna and Lior's back yard (pictures coming soon)!
After having put on their pyjamas, Luna and Lior get to watch (part of) a DVD, have a little bit to drink, and eat a small snack before heading to bed (row below). They are sooo huggable in their flannel jammies!
Yeay, the fair is back in town! This means lots and lots of rides on the merry-go-round (left).
Unfortunately for mom, she is too big for rides such as the boats and the cars. Fortunately, Luna and Lior get to go together (right).
Mom gets to join in the fun again with the motor cycles (left). Fortunately for her, Lior is too small to go by himself.
The airplanes are a little bit of a challenge for Lior, for he has to push the steering wheel to go up and down. Luna is happy to show him the ropes (right).
And when Luna thinks the roller coaster is ho-hum (far left), Lior figures he is big enough to give the roller coaster a try as well (middle left).
Poor Lior, the roller coaster turned out to be a little more scary than he had expected (middle right). Meanwhile, his sister and mom cannot seem to get enough of the fair (far right).
So when Luna goes on yet another ride (far left), Lior decides to take a gambling break (middle left).
Our young man (left) and young lady (right) are preparing for a career playing soccer for the Netherlands. One has to start slowly, so they play with balloons for now (row above, middle).

Lior is working hard on his "Opa Tano imitation" (row below). This involves wearing Opa Tano's reading glasses and playing with Opa Tano's cell phone.

With the lovely fall colors, a walk in the woods is almost compulsory (row above, left, and right). However, Luna and Lior are much more interested in hunting for acorns and chestnuts!

Hip, Hip, Hurray!
Thirty-one months old!

Phew, only five months to go until Lior has made it through his terrible twos. Just kidding! Lior is an adorable young man who rarely suffers from mood swings and has no idea what a temper tantrum is. Or could it be that mom is blinded by the fact that Lior looks so cute when he crosses his arms, pouts his lips, and looks down? Regardless, the effect is that Lior is developing more independence with hardly any frustration.
